Arrr, mateys! I be late fer International Talk Like a Pirate Day, but that don't be meaning I can't be showin' me piratical pride any other day o' the year!

This be a carvin' o' the great and terrible Cap'in Barbossa! He be the most fearsome pirate o' the seven seas, an Cap'in o' the Black Pearl. Don' be lettin' that scurvy dog Jack Sparrow be tellin' ya any differently! I got this 'ere stencil from those moonlight creepin' zombies o'er at Zombie Pumpkins: [link]

I'm gonna be keelhauled cause ya can see I broke the good Cap'in's nose in a few places thar. Can't be helped when ye tryin' to carve a salty pumpkin. An that be a real pumpkin, not one of those landlubbin' foam ones! I'll make them walk the plank I will!

This is awesome! Barbossa is by far my favorite character in the Pirates of the Carribean (I get attacked by Sparrow fans every day ^^; )
I would never have expected pumpkins to be such an amazing art medium. Way to go, dude; a definite :+fav:

Which Tolkien symbol? My friend always wanted me to carve the One Ring inscription but I never tried cause it looked hard.

The one that is on the spine of most of his books - it's a lowercase j mixed in with a t, and two R's, one facing the "wrong" way. His initials, I mean. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's really neat looking! Maybe I should post a pic of my pumpkin...

WOW! Heck, I never even considered doing the writing! That would be uber-long and complicated! It's a neat idea though...
